The Fiat Grand Panda was first unveiled on July 11, 2024, to celebrate the Italian automaker’s 125th anniversary. It’s a B-segment hatchback, measuring less than four meters in length, longer than the Panda, and also boasts a larger trunk.
The Fiat Grand Panda’s interior is spacious for a B-segment vehicle, made possible by its conventional body design and a platform also designed for electric models.

The Grand Panda is built on the same platform as its Citroën C3 sister. Both are actually born on the same platform, the Stellantis Smart Car, which was developed specifically for compact models intended primarily for European and emerging markets.
The Fiat Grand Panda will be available in a new manual transmission version, not paired with a hybrid engine, and will begin arriving by the end of the year. The announcement of this model and this engine isn’t entirely surprising, given that it’s a global model and is planned for launch in several markets, such as the Middle East, Africa, and South America.
Fiat aims to reach annual production of 300,000 units of this model worldwide. The Grand Panda already has two other versions: one with a hybrid engine and the other with an electric motor. With the introduction of the new model, the Gran Panda will now have three versions, making it suitable for all markets worldwide.
The Grand Panda is a family car par excellence, and according to some reports, it’s very possible that production of this model will begin at Fiat’s plant in Algeria, especially the version equipped with a conventional engine and a manual transmission, as this type of car remains popular in Algeria and other African countries.
