The Director of Industry for the province of Batna, in response to a question about the Sokon factory that will be built in the Zan El-Baida Industrial Zone, stated that the project has been granted an exploitation permit for a plot of land exceeding 13 hectares to build a factory for the assembly of vehicles from the Chinese brand Sokon.
According to the same statement, the project will provide 450 permanent jobs, and upon completion of all work, the number of jobs will reach approximately 1,300. The factory is scheduled to begin operations at the end of the current year, December 2025.
The Sokon factory is a Chinese-Algerian partnership. Sokon Algeria SPA, managed by Mr. Hachach Nourredine, is the authorized representative of the Chinese brand in Algeria.
The Algerian company, along with its Chinese partners, seeks to provide small and medium-sized utility vehicles, as well as minibuses and passenger cars.
