Problems have emerged in two new models from the French brand Peugeot, the new Peugeot 3008 and 5008. The company has launched a recall to fix a problem with the front seats of both cars.
This is not the first time these two new models have been recalled. More than 20,000 models of these cars were recalled after a problem was discovered in the front axle. The problem was fixed, and then another problem emerged related to the front seats.
However, according to Peugeot’s data, the new problem affects only a small number of models, while the number is expected to be in the hundreds.
The defects in the front seats could threaten passenger safety. The French car manufacturer Peugeot found a potential mismatch in the slots used to secure the headrests in the front seats, which could negatively impact their protective function in the event of an accident.
Technical issues with new models are normal and common. Most car manufacturers have encountered similar problems and have been forced to recall their vehicles for repair.
The problems encountered by Peugeot do not affect all models, as estimates suggest that models manufactured between September 23, 2024, and November 5, 2024 will be affected.
If you own one of the new models, it is best to contact your nearest dealer and ensure that your vehicle does not have any defects in the front axle or front seats.
