Launched in March 2023, the new Renault Espace SUV, a seven-passenger family car with a hybrid engine, will benefit from a mid-life facelift. Typically, a redesign occurs after three or four years of service, but this is different for the Espace.
The Renault Espace SUV was fully transformed into a sport utility vehicle in March 2023, attracting many customers in its first year. However, its performance in the European market, remains below that of its counterparts from Volkswagen and Peugeot, which offer versions in the same class as the Renault Espace.
The redesign will include the headlights and taillights, as well as the hood, bumpers, and grille. The tailgate will also be reshaped to match the new design, giving the 2025 Espace a truly visual redesign.
The new and improved design will immediately make Renault’s large SUV appear more aggressive and slimmer, even though its length has increased by 2 cm (4.74 m). Of course, this increase is not noticeable compared to the vehicle’s considerable length.
The interior design will remain the same, but new seats and a camera in the left windshield pillar will be noticeable. This camera monitors the driver and prevents drowsiness, ensuring the safety of both the driver and passengers.
The instrument panel and center screen are virtually the same, featuring a 24-inch display powered by Google Automotive. For passengers, the Espace is still available in 5 or 7-seater configurations, which can be adjusted to increase storage space. A new panoramic roof, called Solarbay, remains fixed, now extending to 2 square meters in surface area.
The 200 hp non-rechargeable hybrid powertrain will remain the main engine of Renault’s large SUV, improving fuel efficiency.
The catalogue remains composed of the three trim levels known so far: Techno, Esprit Alpine, and Iconic. Thanks to the latter two engines, the Espace will be able to receive four-wheel steering as standard, ensuring on-road efficiency as well as maneuverability in the city and on narrow roads.
The changes made during this facelift will undoubtedly have an impact on the price of the 2025 Renault Espace, which is expected to start at around 46000€ and is scheduled to arrive in dealerships early this summer.
